Watchmen
In the book of Enoch, the Watchers were a group of angels that existed in heaven. The comic book series by Alan Moore called “Watchmen” portrays superheros as fallen people, frequently abusing their power for personal gain. These serve as a bridge of the term “Watcher” or “Watchmen” in the Ancient and Contemporary context. These works serve as a bridge between these two separate cultural spaces into a cohesive (Or nonsensical) narrative. Formally, the work relies on heavier use of intuition. The lines are inconsistent, all over the place, but come together through the border structure and emotion. Similar to Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, there is a similar full body experience to the work rather than just staring at a singular image on the page. The works are meant to be experienced in context with each other. All the text is in other languages or constructed symbols.
