Old Gods
in the Ancient world, the gods were seen as the creators and rulers of order in the world. These are the “Old Gods”. Yet in the scientific age, these myths have become appropriated into diffrent elements of pop culture (Film, TV, Music, Literature etc.) . These works reference various Ancient Near Eastern, Egyptian, Greek/Roman, and even Far East cultural contexts into one linear narrative.
The works use saturated color tones mixed with fluid line work and aggressive paint strokes. Similar to scribal languages, the marks themselves become signs. The works portray a strong sense of movement and detail. The works take a variety of narratives, simplifying them into engagements between distinct characters.
